Day 1: Three breaths, one place
A StillLens practice for today. Stay where you are. Take three unforced breaths, then make one image of something within arm’s reach.

What feels present, right now?
Our own Feelings Wheel helps you move gently from a broad feeling towards a word that feels a little closer. You use it before and after you photograph.
You'll receive it as a print poster, a phone wallpaper and an accessible word list. Choose a word that feels near enough, or simply notice that you're not sure. Both are welcome.
The StillLens Feelings Wheel is a reflective tool, not a diagnostic or therapeutic resource.
A space for witnessing, not judging.
The course lives in a calm private community on Mighty Networks. That means no algorithm, no likes race and no Facebook. You choose how visible you'd like to be.
Private
Your images and reflections stay entirely yours.
Circle
Share with a small Still Circle using simple, structured prompts.
Community
Opt in to the Quiet Gallery. There is no critique, ever.
Book Consideration
With separate consent, offer an image for a future StillLens community book.
“Share if you wish. Keep it private if that feels right.”
When you share, you choose the response you'd welcome: simple witnessing, a short note on what someone noticed, or no replies at all. You can belong without having to explain anything.
Begin with the founding cohort.
A small first group of 15–25 people, moving through the 21 days together. Founding members help shape what StillLens becomes.

Gently answered.
Do I need a good camera, or any photography experience?
No. A phone is perfect. StillLens is about attention, not technique, so there are no settings to learn and no “right” images to make.
How much time does it take each day?
Usually 10–15 minutes: a 3–6 minute audio practice, one photograph and an optional reflection. Some days you may linger longer. Some days you may simply notice.
What if I miss a day?
Then you miss a day. Pick up wherever you are. Nothing is lost, and there is nothing to catch up on.
Do I have to share my photos?
Never. Every practice works privately. If you'd like to share, you can choose a small circle, the community gallery, or neither, and change your mind at any time.
Where does the course happen?
In a private StillLens community on Mighty Networks, available on the web and through its mobile app. Live gatherings run online, with an optional slow photo walk in Brisbane.
Is this therapy?
No. StillLens is a creative mindfulness practice. It doesn't diagnose or treat any condition. If you're going through a difficult time, please also seek appropriate professional support.
